A Joyful Sikh Wedding in North London: Natasha & Amar’s Gurdwara Ceremony
There's something timeless about a Sikh wedding – the deep-rooted traditions, the vibrant colours, and the powerful sense of love and community. Natasha and Amar’s beautiful Sikh ceremony at a gurdwara in North London was no exception. As a wedding photographer, it was an honour to capture every heartfelt moment of their Anand Karaj.

The Bride: Regal in Red
Natasha looked every bit the radiant bride in a traditional red lehenga adorned with intricate gold embroidery. Her bridal jewellery—layered necklaces, bangles, and a stunning maang tikka. We started the morning with some beautiful bridal portraits and capturing all the gorgeous details.

The Sikh Wedding Ceremony at the Gurdwara
Their Sikh wedding ceremony took place at the Brent Sikh Centre in North London, where tradition and spirituality created an atmosphere of reverence and celebration. The Anand Karaj—meaning “blissful union”—was beautifully conducted, with the couple walking the four laavaan (vows) around the Guru Granth Sahib, surrounded by loved ones.
As a photographer, capturing a Sikh gurdwara wedding is always a privilege. The vibrant colours, meaningful rituals, and respectful environment offer a unique and rich canvas for storytelling.

Moments of Love and Laughter
Following the ceremony, we stepped outside into golden afternoon light for some relaxed couple portraits. Amar in his ivory sherwani and sage green turban, while Natasha’s veil glowed in the sun.
